Moodboard

The few things here which I included, meaning the things titled ‘Citrus Winter’ and ‘Spring Collection’ and a few others, are what most design idea things look like on Pinterest.

The things I have included here are pretty much what I am aiming for for my magazine. Specifically the idea of having a photoshoot in person and also in the game, recreating clothes I already have in real life in the game for this.

Pages inspo

As these here are video game-based magazine front covers, they are the main ideas for what the front cover of mine may be based off or taken inspiration from (animal crossing is more light-hearted than this specific GAME one).

The actual animal crossing ones (I found the covers on Pinterest) will be easier to base my own front cover on.

Similar to this ‘Space Bean Adventure’, there will be more art on the page than text. This is because my magazine is mainly about the design and fashion in the game, obviously with some description. I also like how there is one large image main in the middle here.

Here is just some inspiration from basic fashion magazine pages. I think it would be fun to do the circles showing each of the areas of an outfit like in the second image, but this is mainly how I would want my magazine to look, with more colour as well.

Front Cover Design

This is the layout for the front cover of the magazine with a very basic character in the middle of the page showing what the idea for it is.

Contents Page Design

My contents page is going to be quite simple with a few images to show what can be expected in the magazine along with the actual list of contents.

Double Page Design

This is my chosen layout for the double page spread of my magazine. I have taken inspiration from one of the magazines in the inspo part of this for having one large main image in the middle of the pages.

Masthead designs

The fonts Fink heavy, Bunch blossoms

I have chosen the font Fink Heavy because it is the closest to what the actual Animal Crossing logo font is. I chose Bunch Blossoms because I like how the letters join up, and 

And traced over this symbol of ‘Bell’ item from the game

I didn't like how I traced the star in the first one so I made my own one with shapes instead.

Used 5-point white star polygon tool instead of tracing

Ellipse tool – removed the fill and the stroke 18.32 pixels wide

Rotated it a bit so its not boring

Rotated the circle

I moved and rotated some of the letters in ‘Animal’ a bit to make it look like the actual Animal Crossing logo

Added colours to each of the elements

I chose these colours for the font because they are quite dark so will more than likely go well with what I choose for the backgrounds, and these colours will also be used for the titles on the pages inside the magazine. I chose these colours for the star in the circle because they are easily recognisable as the Bell item from the game.
